CannabisBoy is the professional name of emerging independent rapper, singer and songwriter Mateusz Mlynarczyk. He is an 18 year-old musician and marijuana enthusiast who made his professional solo recording debut in April of 2022 with the single “420.” That track introduced an eclectic Poland-born and Wisconsin-based artist with a chill, THC-infused vibe.
Since his debut CannabisBoy has amassed an impressive volume of work. In less than four months the prolific rapper has dropped a dozen singles. Rhyming in both English and Polish he sings the praises of his favorite weed over modern trap and hip-hop beats. His sound has connected with rap and pot fans around the world with tracks like the bi-lingual lo-fi jam “Pullin Up.”
“Fly” is a new single from CannabisBoy, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 18, 2022. Dreamy arpeggios introduce the track before the Tony Scott produced beat drops on a slow and low trap groove. Ambient synths ride a hard 808 bass as Mateusz steps to the mic with a psychedelic, stream-of-consciousness freestyle about women and drugs.
