Antonis Vlavo (aka Vlavogelakis) a multi-instrumentalist experimental post-rock composer and producer who made his professional solo recording debut in 2022. When not concocting genre-bending instrumentals, the multi-faceted Greek creator is in his studio recording voice overs or producing other content for radio and television. For the last 25 years Antonis has worked as a radio host, producer, writer and voice actor.
Vlavogelakis played drums in a few bands when he was younger. Although his career has largely focused on other forms of media, he has stayed active in music. After a recent bout of creativity he decided to use his high-end recording studio for more than just voice recordings. In April he dropped his first single as a solo artist, “Line Up (And Wait).”
“iNSTABILITY (EL)” is the brand new single from Vlavogelakis, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 3, 2022. The track packs some powerful electro art-rock drama reminiscent of Alan Parsons’ late 80’s solo work. Rock drums meter out the intro before the beat drops on a wall of organic and electronic sound. Guitars, synths and a driving rhythm set a cinematic backdrop as Vlavogelakis reads (in Greek) the work of poet Thanos Gogos, from the writer’s 2014 book Glasgow.
