Vyant is a new emerging genre-bending hard rock collective who first came together in 2020. The group formed when three expat Americans living in Germany came together over their shared love of power chords, piano ballads and big rock drama. They group has released six singles since dropping their debut “One More Time” in 2021.
Former co-workers, Bil Amerson (bass) and Jesse Follmer (guitar/vocals) started the group as an Irish pub cover band. However, once James Flint (piano/drums/vocals) the trio began writing songs. Vyant was born. Their unique sound is a mix of modern melodic metal and grunge and a healthy dose of classic art rock virtuosity.
“Global Shift” is the brand new single from Vyant, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 5, 2022. A solo piano opens the song as cinematic strings introduce a powerful downtempo metal march of rumbling bass, minor-key guitar riffs and a percussive tom groove on the drums. The singer steps to the mic with a dramatic and esoteric tale of cosmic signs, climate change and apocalyptic visions.
