Ricky Ferranti’s New ‘Vero il fiume’ For Guitar

ricky ferranti

Regular Readers of The Static Dive last heard from Ricky Ferranti in July, 2020. At the height of the pandemic, like musicians around the world, the normally in-demand musician found himself locked down at home with no gigs. So to help bring us all up out of those dark days, the award-winning guitarist recorded an inspirational instrumental album titled Hope.

A native of northern Italy, Ricky Ferranti is an accomplished and decorated musician. He first studied guitar at Milan’s Centro Professione Musica. In the years since he has authored numerous instructional guitar videos, taught at the Modern Music Academy of Piacenza and currently teaches guitar at Livestudio in Codogno, Italy.

Ricky Ferranti’s recorded works have appeared in national film and television productions. Through his solo albums the guitarist has explored a wide range of genres from classical to blues. On his latest release, Ferranti pays tribute to the beautiful Trebbia River near the musician’s hometown of Piacenza.

“Verso il fiume” (towards the river) is the brand new single from Ricky Ferranti, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 27, 2022. The short piece is a beautiful duet for guitar. Two finger-picked nylon-stringed guitars, each panned respectively left and right, trade chords and melodies in this breezy and virtuosic summer instrumental.
