Texas song man Todd Barrow is back. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember Todd from his many successful singles of recent years. In that time, the award-winning singer/songwriter has crafted his own signature sound with a distinctly Texan feel made of equal parts outlaw country and mainstream pop/rock.
Over the past decade, the prolific songwriter has released over two dozen singles as well as the full length 2020 album “Texas Country Nation.” In that time he has worked closely with legends, like his mentor, Texas Music Hall of Fame honoree Sonny Burgess. He has connected with country fans worldwide on hits like “Good Luck” and “Girl Like You.”
Todd Barrow has won numerous awards including the PRSA Award of Excellence and an Akademia Award for Best Country Album. He has appeared as a performer on television shows like Good Morning Texas with Jerry Matheny and Texas Music Café on PBS. Todd recently added ‘actor’ to his resume and has already been featured in several popular films, including one directed by Matthew McConaughey.
“West Texas Wind” is the brand new single and video from Todd Barrow, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 7, 2022. On the track, Barrow pairs a modern country mindset with a cool Billy Joel/Jackson Browne-style 70’s singer/songwriter pop vibe. The song is a smooth, mid-tempo country ballad in honor of the singer’s home state’s panhandle.
