Collaborations is a new collaborative musical project bringing a wide range of independent musicians together for a unique creative process. Under the direction of producer and project founder Viv Stephens, each artist is given loose conceptual and stylistic guidelines and then let loose to create.
The project debuted in 2021 with a self-titled 10-song set. That record introduced an ambitious project consisting of a talented group of Northeast musicians who came together in West Haven, Connecticut’s Horizon Music Studios to create an eclectic mix of pop, soul and r&b grooves. Now the group is back with their first new music of 2022, and their biggest hit.
“Running Out Of Tomorrow” is the brand new single from Collaborations, available worldwide via all major streaming services. The song is both a dire warning and a powerful inspiration. A live band of guitar, bass, drums and keys lays down a classic 70’s soul groove as orchestral string arrangement adds a sweeping cinematic feel.
Male and female vocalists take turns at the mic. They look at the mess of our modern world and ask, “Can’t we do better?” They are backed by a Broadway-worthy choir as they sing the song’s infectious chorus. It is a powerful message.
