Chris Twist is an emerging independent singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer with an inspiring story of recovery from tragedy. Seven years ago he suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) which caused him to forget everything he knew. He had to relearn the entire English language, basic math skills and everything he knew about music.
Last year Chris Twist made his professional solo recording comeback with the release of the two-song single “Bipolar.” That record introduced a multi-talented and eclectic artist with a sound that mixes elements of dark wave, industrial and alternative rock. Since then the prolific producer has released four more double singles as well as the five-song EP “Against Gods.”
“Love Won’t Save Us Today” is the brand new single from Chris Twist, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 10, 2022. Ambient synths and strings open the track as percussive synth arpeggios paint the edges of the mix. Soon the beat drops on a retro dark wave groove which brings to mind an early-Cure vibe. A bass guitar provides the melodic anchor as a solo guitar riffs on a melancholy minor-key melody. Chris steps to the mic with a hypnotic meditation on love, sorrow and mortality.
