The Antenna Tribe return with a hypnotic new downtempo groove. Over the last two years the prolific Los Angeles-based producer has released ten singles and two EPs of ethereal ambient vibes and chilled out downtempo electronic and trip-hop grooves. Regular readers of The Static Dive have followed the collaborative project since the release of the single “Two Hearts” in April of this year.
Each release by the Antenna Tribe features a guest vocalist. In recent months the producer has worked exclusively with UK singer Silke. The two musicians’ complimentary styles create dreamy soundscapes of ethereal vocals, ambient synths and percussive electronic beats. It is a beautiful and immersive sound.
“Seconds” is the brand new single from The Antenna Tribe, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 12, 2022. A subterranean kick drum and glitchy snare open the track. They meter out a steady pulse as chords and arpeggios dance on the edges of the mix. Silke steps to the mic and delivers her esoteric poetry with all the beautifully quirky soul of Bjork and the vulnerability of Kate Bush.
