This year Johnathan Dax launched a new project as a solo artist. Crossing both geographic and stylistic borders, he works with a wide range of artists to bring his genre-fluid songs to life. On August 25, 2022 he dropped his debut release.

An ensemble of guitar, bass and drums sets the scene for this Americana-tinged, dark-pop heartbreaker. Classical strings, lush vocal harmonies and plenty of Nashville guitar paint the periphery.
Guest vocalist Olivia Claire steps to the mic and sings, “There’s a wine glass by the TV. It’s as empty as I am.” With that she introduces the melancholy tale of two lost souls who come together for solace. They find it, if only for one night. As the song progresses, the production builds from a quiet torch song to an emotional cinematic ballad.
