Dougieto is the professional name of independent singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer, Liam Browning. A native of the United Kingdom, he first started playing bass 15 years ago. After a recent life-changing event he decided to turn his musical hobby into something more.

Equipped with multiple basses, guitars, harmonicas, ukuleles, a copy of Cubase and a half decent PC I have decided to give my dream a go.
Liam Browning (Dougieto)

“Doorstep” is the current single from Dougieto’s debut full length LP, A Requiem For Broken Hearts And Fractured Minds, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 5, 2022. Liam cites influences ranging from punk to pop, ska and electronica. On the record he spins these ingredients into a fun retro alt-pop vibe.

A walking bassline introduces the song as Liam enters the mix accompanied by a ukulele playing a mellow skank rhythm. Soon the beat drops on a downtempo lo-fi ska beat. Dougieto sings and raps a melancholy torch song.  To counter the somber lyrics the track rides on a loose and fun vibe that harkens back to the UK ska/punk heyday of Twin/Tone Records.
