Tyfrom3401 is the professional name of emerging independent hip-hop artist Tyree Thomas. The 22 year-old rapper from Georgia first started making music in 2016. With the encouragement of a creative cousin he started writing rhymes at the age of 16. The duo used their music as an escape from the harsh realities of growing up in the South Macon housing projects.

He made his professional solo recording debut in 2019 with the single “Gang Violence.” That record introduced a skilled emcee with a hard style and real-life tales from life in the Southside Pendleton housing projects. He followed shortly thereafter with a mellower vibe on the single “Me Now”.
“SouthMacon” is the latest single from Tyfrom3401, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 1, 2022. A minimalist piano pulses at the heart of the tune, playing sparse bass notes and chords over a downtempo trap beat. Tyfrom3401 steps to the mic with a hard freestyle drill rap about gang life in his hometown.
