Zhake is the professional name of emerging independent singer, songwriter and bedroom producer Jake Mitchell. He first hit the scene last year with the release of his debut single “Best Joke.” That track introduced a talented and experimental genre-bending artist. Adopted from Russia at the age of 7, Jake grew up in Ohio where he still lives today.
The multi-disciplinary artist first got his start as an actor and worked for a number of years with Akron’s PMTM Talent Agency. In 2018 he turned his creative energies toward music after meeting and teaming up with Akron musician DALILA.Since his debut, the prolific Zhake has released six singles. He has connected with fans around the world thanks to hits like “Night Lights’ ‘ and “Broken Hearts’ ‘.
“Changing Seasons” is the latest single from Zhake and DALILA, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 8, 2022. A lo-fi piano and hip-hop groove beats at the heart of this sugary-sweet duet. The two singers trade lines as they contemplate life, love and the passing of time with a vulnerable sing-song innocence.
