HiL is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer Hilsenton Alcee. The Houston, Texas musician made his professional solo recording debut in 2016 with the hip-hop album Regulas Revenge. That record introduced a talented and eclectic artist with a genre-fluid sound.
The versatile creator followed with the pop album No Room For Angels in 2019. He continued on that trajectory with 2020’s Flamingo Isle. In that time HiL has connected with fans worldwide with hits like “Sweetness” and “Clutch City”. His sound matches infectious pop hooks, with r&b vibes, hip-hop beats and a flare for experimentation. He recently dropped the first single from his upcoming fourth album.
“Amaretto” is the brand new single from HiL, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 16, 2022. A bit of psychedelic vocal funk introduces the track before the beat drops on a percussive synth and drum machine groove. The singer steps to the mic and delivers an r&b-infused electro-pop love song. He drops some strong MJ vibes in the verse and an uncanny Prince in the bridge. Guest vocalist Yasmin Palmer also shines on her own soulful verse.
