Sincerely, PS is the professional name of rapper, singer, songwriter and producer Preston Steele. He debuted his current project in 2020 with the album 7 Record Project. That collection introduced a skilled Bay Area emcee and lyricist with a verbose lyrical flow and an eclectic taste for beat from across the hip-hop spectrum.
Since that debut, the prolific rapper has dropped six albums in just two years. In his songs, Sincerely, PS explores faith, societal issues and his own battles with mental illness. He finds healing through music and hopes to help others do the same.
“The Truth ” is the current single from Sincerely, PS’s latest album “Ten Track Project”, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A somber piano ballad opens the track before the beat drops on an old-school hip-hop groove. Strings paint the periphery and create tension on the horizon. Preston Steele steps to the mic with a raw freestyle that is one part biographical allegory and another part evangelical hip-hop sermon. It’s a hard and funky track with an ultimately inspirational message.
