The Freight are on the move with brand new music in 2022. The Boston quintet debuted two years ago with the funky rocker “Show Me”. The song was an instant hit. It topped the blues and indie charts on Apple music and earned the band some well deserved early attention. They responded with an ever-growing and increasingly nuanced catalog of excellent blues-powered and classic rock inspired guitar-driven rock & roll.
The band hit the stage as the world arose from lockdowns and quarantines of 2020. They began booking gigs all around their hometown’s legendary music scene and continue to play a steady schedule of gigs. They have also produced a string of successful single releases. The Static Dive readers have followed from the beginning.
“Done With You” is the brand new single from The Freight, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 16, 2022. A scathing breakup song set to a slow and psychedelic blues rocker, “Done With You” finds the band in top form.
Marc Loverin (drums), Stephen Anderson (bass), John Marinilli (percussion) and Greg Tragellis (keys) set an Animals-era Pink Floyd scene with a jazz-infused downtempo classic rock groove. Frontman Adam Tiro takes their cue and replies with some smoking psychedelic blues guitar as he sings a soulful send-off to his soon-to-be ex.
