Party on the Moon is the professional name of singer, songwriter and producer Ngai (pronounced ‘Guy’) McGee. The Chicago native got his start as a teenager, deejaying parties in his hometown’s legendary Southside underground house music scene. Later he stepped into the pop/r&b arena, performing boy-band inspired soul at venues all around the city.
Ngai eventually relocated to Los Angeles, California. There he worked as a background singer and songwriter with Sony recording artist Jon B. Since then McGee has worked as a solo hip-hop artist (Keil Holliwood) and as a songwriter for other artists. One of his songs was even sampled by Drake. In 2022 he’s returning to his dance music roots as Party on the Moon.
“Dance Wit Me” is the debut single from Party on the Moon, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 16, 2022. The song opens on a cloud of ambient synths. Ngai steps to the mic with a soulful invitation to the dancefloor. Soon the beat drops on an upbeat house groove. As the song progresses the mix builds to a rousing club anthem.
