Satori Vando is an emerging independent composer and producer from Seattle, Washington. After releasing dozens of track on Soundcloud, he made his wide-distribution solo professional recording debut in June of this year with the seven-song collection, Evergreen Metropolis. That record introduced a talented 24 year-old artist from Seattle who spins old-school, new-school and found sounds into a unique avant-garde instrumental hip-hop vibe.
While the paint is still drying on that first record, Satori Vando is already back with his sophomore release. On the new record, gone are the mechanical pulses and industrial themes of Evergreen Metropolis. This time Vando takes us on an old-school ride inspired by legendary underground producers like MF Doom, J Dilla and Madlib.
Blue Noise is the latest album from Satori Vando, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 17, 2022. The 8-song collection finds the producer digging down deep in the record bins. From the psychedelic vibes and hard downtempo trip-hop of “Clueless” to the dreamy synths and syncopated groove of “Blue Mist”, Satori creates living and breathing organic sound.
Throughout the record Satori Vando blurs genre lines and challenges listeners to follow him into space between grooves. We dig on the jazz vibes of tracks like “Blue Midz” and “Blue Dream” and then zone out to the hypnotic lo-fi “Blue Waves’ ‘. The record is a wonderfully immersive and cohesive listening experience.
