Acid.Prof is the professional name of singer, songwriter, guitarist and scholar, Bobby Wallisch Jr.  A child of the 60’s, Bobby has witnessed every major technological advancement and societal shift of the past fifty years. The changes he has seen in our culture have disturbed him. So he decided to be the change he wanted to see in the world.

An overall culture of fear emerged in the Western world and the gorgeous colours of the 60s, 70s and 80s turned into shades of grey. I wanted to bring those colours back.

The author and professor strapped on his Stratocaster in 2013 and launched the acid rock project Acid.Prof. Readers of The Static Dive will remember the group’s recent single, “Paula”. That track introduced a rock troupe steeped deeply in the sights, sounds and philosophies of the Age of Aquarius. As an internationally recognized expert on such matters, Wallisch often peppers his lyrics with Greek and Indian philosophical concepts.

“The Muddy Waters of Time ” is a new single by Acid.Prof & Bobby Wallisch Jr, released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 20, 2022. A soulful mid-tempo blues-tinged rocker, the song holds a special place for Bobby Wallisch Jr. The lyrics were written by his beloved father, Bobby Wallisch Sr, who passed away in 2014.

A bluesy guitar opens the track. Soon an ensemble of bass, guitar, drums and organ enter the mix and lay down a mellow, organic rock groove. Bobby steps to the mic with a wistful look back at the ups and downs of a life well lived. The ghost of past friends and blues legends haunt the shores as the protagonist navigates his way through the muddy waters of time.
