Cigarette Social Club are an emerging independent band who made their professional recording debut in 2020 with the 2-track EP Blue Tack Baby. That record introduced an exciting new indie rock quartet from Cheltenham and Birmingham, UK. Since their debut, the prolific foursome has followed with five successful singles and a second EP.
The band has been quickly making a name for themselves in the real world as well. Over the past few months they have made a big splash in the UK underground music scene. In December 2021 they headlined a sold out show in their hometown. And they have taken to the road. In recent months Cigarette Social Club has been seen on stages in Bristol, London and Worcester.
“Tell Me How” is a recent single from Cigarette Social Club, available worldwide via all major streaming services. An ensemble of bass, drums and guitars opens the track on a mellow indie rock mood with strong 90’s alternative vibes. The singer steps to the mic with an esoteric introspective meditation on mental health and the complexities of interpersonal communication. The band injects a healthy dose of grunge into the fray, at times recalling a lighter Nirvana or maybe a darker OK Go. It’s a great rock groove.
