Musical Blades have carved out a unique niche for themselves in the musical world. They made their professional recording debut in 2008 with the album “Full Frontal Piracy”. That record introduced a Kansas City-based piratecore septet who have made a name for themselves with their award-winning ‘renaissance rock show.’
For years the band has traveled the United States, entertaining pub-crawlers and festival-goers with their unique mix of history, comedy and expert musical chops. Their repertoire of sing-alongs, sea shanties and folk/rock ballads have earned them a nationwide reputation.
Since their debut the prolific pirates have produced nine albums and amassed millions of streams on Spotify and other services. Renaissance Magazine has named Musical Blades as one of the Best Comedy Musical Shows and even listed them as one of the Top 100 Faire acts of all time.
“Land Pirate” is the latest single from Musical Blades, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 7, 2022. Over an organic folk/rock mix of hand percussion and acoustic guitar, the band sings a playful anthem for landlocked renaissance festival pirates everywhere.
