Jacob Winthrop Music Co is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist producer who made his professional solo recording debut in 2019 with the single “I’m Over It”. That track introduced a multifaceted young artist and virtuoso guitar player from Los Angeles, California. JWMC is a member of the 2024 graduating class of Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music.
Since his debut, the prolific Jacob Winthrop Music Co has released seven singles and the 6-track EP Palisades. An adventurous songwriter and talented instrumentalist, his music blends a chilled indie-pop aesthetic with the expert musicianship and chilled vibes of classic guitar jazz.
“Sunrise for Two ” is the brand new single from Jacob Winthrop Music Co and guest vocalist Jules, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 7, 2022. Once again the 20 year-old musician belies his youth with a period-perfect original bossa nova tune. JWMC plucks his nylon strings and transports us back to some forgotten early-60’s Rio de Janeiro cafe. Jules plays the perfect Astrud to JWMC’s João Gilberto as he plays all of the instruments including bass, drums, congas, piano and of course guitar. He ends the song with a smooth and sexy electric jazz guitar solo.
