Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember Malachi Eastling from his recent single “Contagious“. That track introduced a talented singer/songwriter making his debut in 2022. However, he’s no newcomer to music. The singer arrives on the scene with a massive catalog of over 200 songs, waiting to be published.
Malachi is a Wisconsin native who has traveled the United States with his guitar in hand. After dotting the map from LA to Hawaii, he found his way to Iowa. There he met pianist/vocalist Katie Yaddof and the two lunched both a creative and romantic partnership.
“Daydreaming” is the latest single from Malachi Eastling, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 7, 2022. On the track the singer is accompanied only by his acoustic guitar and Yaddof on backing vocals. The duo drops perfect indie-pop harmonies on this catchy and clever alt-folk takedown of the singer’s ex-girlfriend.
