Stefano Pesapane is a multi-instrumentalist composer and producer who made his solo recording debut in 2019 with the album Miles Away. That record introduced a multi-talented veteran musician with over 30 years experience on the contemporary jazz scene. A drummer by trade, Stefano studied and performed for years in his native Italy before relocating in 1999 to his current home in the Netherlands.
Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember Stefano Pesapane from his 2021 single “After All”, a cool mix of lounge, be-bop and EDM. Since then the prolific producer has released four more singles as well as the 4-song EP Changes. With a foundation in modern jazz, Pesapane’s music is a genre-fluid mix of the organic and electronic. All of Stefano’s solo work is released on NYC’s Bentley Records.
“Un Solo Respiro” (one breath) is the brand new single from Stefano Pesapane, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 12, 2022. The tune rolls on a chill mid-tempo jazz groove. Psychedelic guitars and synths paint the periphery. Recalling the sultry 60’s hit “Je t’aime… moi non plus”, Stefano and a female vocalist step the mic for a sexy but less scandalous dialog than that of the Serge Gainsbourg/Jane Birkin classic.
