Sunset Black is a genre-bending independent artist, producer and record label owner. The Summerville, South Carolina native made his solo professional recording debut in 2015 with the single “My Life”. Since then he has produced a deep catalog of music including nearly two dozen singles and a full length album. His sound blurs the lines between hip-hop, punk and country.
Working as a solo artist, Black has toured throughout the United States. He has shared the stage and studio with superstars like 2Chainz, Bubba SparxxX, Lil Wyte and many more. As the owner of Slummerville Records, the rapper shares his success with a collective of emerging southern rock and hip-hop artists.
“Anxiety” is the brand new single from Sunset Black, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 30, 2022. A minor-key alt-rock acoustic guitar opens the track as a female vocalist delivers a melancholy soliloquy about being lost in one’s own mind. Soon a lo-fi trap beat drops and Sunset Black steps to the mic with an impressive syncopated staccato freestyle.
