Southside Kizzy is an emerging independent r&b/hip-hop artist who made his professional recording debut in 2021 with the single “BLM”. That track introduced a talented young singer and rapper from Brockton, Massachusetts. At just 17 years-old he has already produced an impressive volume of work, dropping a total of eight original singles in just over a year.
Currently signed to independent record label BSGTAKEOFF, Southside Kizzy comes from a music industry legacy. His father (Brockstylez) is a Brockton hip-hop legend in his own right. The two now work together with the BSG crew to put Brockton on the map. Over the last year, Kizzy has performed on stages from Boston to Austin.
“Ten Toes Down” is the latest single from Southside Kizzy, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 15, 2022. A jazzy guitar opens the track, riding a mellow mid-tempo trap groove. Kizzy steps to the mic with a soulful tale of regret and resilience. He and guest vocalist Tony Sunshine look back at a difficult past, and plant their feet firmly on the ground in the present.
