PsychCloned returns with a special Halloween haunt. Regular readers of The Static Dive know the North Carolina-based composer well. Known to friends and family as Gabriel Pureco, over the past two years the prolific producer has created a deep catalog of wildly creative and sonically sophisticated genre-bending instrumental music.
From his early electronic work to recent forays into various flavors of experimental rock and jazz, PsychCloned’s sound is driven by an uninhibited love of music and an adventurous soul. Throughout his tenure he has assembled an impressive ensemble of like-minded virtuoso collaborators from around the world. They join Gabriel on his latest release, a thrilling and mysterious ride through the creepiest night of the year.
“Night Of The Haunt ” is the brand new single from PsychCloned, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 28, 2022. Minor key strings open the track with some cinematic drama before a full rock ensemble and a flute enters the mix. Soon the song launches into a guitar-shredding prog-rocker.
In true Pureco fashion, the piece continuously transforms as it progresses. The rhythm section lays down a fabulously syncopated jazz fusion groove as the band drops metal power, melodic Spanish guitar and even a touch of Tijuana brass. It’s a wild ride and the perfect soundtrack for a haunted evening.
