Divaudra is the professional name of singer, songwriter and fashion designer, Audra Pollard. The musician is a veteran of stage and studio. She started singing as a child in church. As an adult she landed a gig as the lead singer for a world-traveling band.
After years of globe-trotting, Divaudra eventually settled back home in Texas. There she immersed herself in the Southwest’s hot regional music scene, performing regularly in groups like Tin Man Band. It was the passing of her friend and former TMB bandmate Jeff Taylor that ultimately inspired the singer to launch her new solo project.
“Weekend Famous (Remix)” is the latest single from Divaudra, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 16, 2022. A mix of live and electronic instruments introduce the track with a chill funk groove. Soon the singer steps to the mic for a disco-infused anthem over an organic house beat. The song is a soulful and joyous celebration of the simple art of cutting loose.
