Attack on Anxiety is the professional name of independent composer and multi-instrumentalist producer, Kunal Bhattacharya. He made his solo professional debut in 2020 with a string of singles and the three song EP 2005. Those records introduced a talented and eclectic composer from Dublin, Ireland with a sound built on a foundation of jazz, trip-hop and funk.
Since his debut, the prolific producer has released four singles and two EPs. His style has evolved in that time. On his earliest releases, Attack on Anxiety’s music was electronic, instrumental and heavily influenced by downtempo artists such as Tycho, Boards of Canada, Zero 7 and Massive Attack. On his latest release Kunal introduces an organic r&b/hip-hop vibe.
“On My Mind” is the brand new single from Attack on Anxiety, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 21, 2022. Ambient organ chords open the track before the beat drops on a mellow jazz-infused r&b groove. The singer steps to the mic with a soulful love song as he alternates between a smooth melodic freestyle rap and soulful r&b vocals. Meanwhile an ensemble of bass, drums, electric piano and guitar lay down a chill funk.
