Mitzuki is an emerging hip-hop artist who made his professional solo recording debut two years ago with the single/video Donnie Darko. That track introduced a talented young rapper and producer from Romania with a taste for chill trap beats and a hypnotic bilingual lyrical flow.
Since his debut he has released a total of four videos. He has connected with thousands of fans worldwide via his YouTube channel. Although he raps and sings in Romanian most of the time, the emcee regularly interjects English phrases into his songs, to great effect.
“Mess” is the brand new single and video from Mitzuki, released worldwide via YouTube on November 17, 2022. As the track opens, ethereal guitars and ambient synths float on the horizon. Soon the beat drops on a slow and low 808 groove.
Mitzuki steps to the mic with a smooth multicultural freestyle. The rapper has a unique and hypnotic rhythmic and melodic flow that really pulls us in. It’s particularly effective during the catchy English-language refrain “she knows I’m a mess”.
