
Tight Tone is an emerging independent recording artist and producer who has spent the past decade building a deep and eclectic catalog of original hip-hop. The New York native grew up writing rhymes. In his career he has worked with a wide range of artists, including his group The Community.
Now based in Los Angeles, California, Tight Tone made his international professional solo recording debut in 2019 with the dancehall single “Pon Da Wall (PDW Riddim)”. That track introduced a versatile rapper, songwriter and producer. He has forged a unique and musically sophisticated production style.
Groundbreaking hip-hop producers like The Alchemist, Kanye West and DJ Premier as well as multi-genre impresario Timbaland all inspired Tight Tone as he developed his sound. The versatile creator has worked in numerous genres, however hip-hop, R&B and dancehall are his favorites. Since his debut, the prolific producer has dropped eight singles, an EP and now a brand new album.
Humble But Hungry is the latest from Tight Tone, released worldwide by Xross Country Records via all major streaming services on November 25, 2022. The twelve track collection finds the artist in his element, creating cutting edge and genre-bending hip-hop. On the mic he tells autobiographical tales from real life over trap beats, reggaeton bass lines, ambient synths and old-school breakbeat rhythms.

An impressive roster joins Tight Tone on the record. They include his band and labelmate Professor Patman, longtime friend Mr En1gma R.E.D, Mr. Magnanimous and the artist’s sister Jess Shereese. Tight Tone shares production duties on the album with Jim Dandee, I m@ck on the Track and Professor Patman.
