Becky Raisman is an emerging independent singer, songwriter, musician and comedian. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember when she dropped her debut single “Summertime Sugar” in June of last year. That track introduced a talented young LGBTQ+ Chicago native who recently relocated to Charleston, South Carolina to pursue her musical dreams.
Both in Chicago and SC, Becky Raisman has studied vocals & keys in college and with private teachers. The prolific songwriter followed her debut single with last year’s three-track EP This is My Moment and the single “Hypnotized” earlier this year. She specializes in writing catchy and relatable indie-pop songs.
Cruising is the brand new EP from Becky Raisman, released worldwide via all major streaming services on November 21, 2022. The four-song collection finds the singer in her element, singing breezy beach-inspired love songs. Throughout the record she peppers her sound with elements of EDM, hip-hop and r&b.
“Go Cruising” embraces the summertime vibe of the record. The singer delivers her escape fantasy over cool mix of jazzy-infused guitar and a trap beat. Beck Raisman closes out the set with the lo-fi guitar/vocal singer/songwriter bedroom pop of “Let’s Not Over Complicate”.
