DifferenT A.M Drops New Djent From Norway

different a.m

DifferenT A.M is the professional name of songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist producer Andreas Magnussen. A lifelong musician and accomplished guitarist, Magnussen debuted his new solo project earlier this year with the single “The Man”. That track introduced a diversely talented artist from Norway with a taste for heavy and musically sophisticated metal.

Andreas creates a musically sophisticated sound. DifferenT A.M’s music is best classified as progressive metal with a heavy lean into the lesser known djent https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djent genre which incorporates intricate rhythm patterns and downtuned guitars. To add a bit more complexity to the mix, Magnussen records his track on 7 and 8 string guitars.

“Falling Away” is the brand new single from DifferenT A.M, available worldwide via all major streaming platforms. Dark ambient vibes introduce the track before the beat drops on a thunderous progressive metal riff groove. Vocalist Laur Lindmae steps to the mic and lets loose a hellish howl.  From there the song launches into a riff-heavy virtuosic prog-metal assault. Andreas crushes the track with a machine gun double kick drum attack and wall of metal guitars.

Check out “Falling Away” below. You can also hear the track on the Deep Indie Dive playlist, or listen on your favorite streaming service.
