Dawn Wilkinson is an emerging songwriter from the United Kingdom. She is a lifelong music lover and pianist. However, Dawn only recently decided to try her hand at songwriting. It turned out to be a very good idea.
Since launching this phase of her musical journey, Dawn Wilkinson was already had the good fortune of working with legendary producers like Stuart Epps (Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Oasis) and Simon Ellis (Spice Girls, Britney Spears, S Club 7). Her songs “Don’t Make Me Plead” and “One Moment at a Time” were both ‘Song of the Year’ semi-finalists. For her latest, Wilkinson teams up with Simon and his vocalist daughter Daisy Ellis for a deeply personal ballad about the loss of her son.
“Forever in My Heart” in my heart is the new Dawn Wilkinson-penned single from Daisy Ellis, released worldwide via all major streaming services on December 8, 2088. Ambient strings and solo acoustic guitar open the track. Daisy steps to the mic and delivers a beautiful and heartfelt performance of Dawn’s heartbreaking homage to her child. Soon the ensemble expands to include piano, bass, drums and eventually a full orchestra. It is a powerfully emotional song, from performance to production.
