ISay1k is the professional name of emerging independent hip-hop artist, Derrick Harris. He made his professional solo recording debut in 2018 with the single “Bankroll Assasin”. That track introduced and eclectic and charismatic rapper/songwriter with a sound that infectious grooves and great beats, in order to create a catchy, yet direct and edgy sound.
A native of Montgomery, Alabama, ISay1k writes autobiographical lyrical rhymes over downtempo trap and hip-hop beats. Since making his debut, the prolific emcee has released eight singles as well as a six-song EP. He has connected with hip-hop fans around the world with hits like “Parade” and “Chantilly”.
“Above the Clouds” is the current single from ISay1k’s Hero EP, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A psychedelic backward guitar melody introduces the track and sets a trippy vibe that persists as the beat drops on a slow and low 808 groove. The rapper steps to the mic and declares his dedication to the grind with a hypnotic and melodic flow.
