Chicago-based international singing star, Zinga returns with a brand new single from his forthcoming album. Readers of The Static Dive have followed the multi-talented musician since he made his solo professional recording debut in 2022 with the single “Dance with Me”. That track introduced a Bangladeshi pop legacy to the world.
Shayan Ali is the man behind the music. Born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he is the son of Shafaat Ali,a pop music legend in the country and the originator of the Zinga brand. The younger Ali is now reintroducing the family business to a global audience.
“Fate” is the new single from Zinga, released worldwide via all major streaming services on November 24, 2022. The song was directly inspired by the Bangla pop/rock song “Boli Boli”, released in 1982 by his late father Shafaat Ali. It is the title track from Zinga’s forthcoming debut album.
Zinga collaborated with Nashville songwriter Kyle Jordan to translate the original Bangla melody into an 80s-inspired power ballad. Accompanied by cinematic piano and arena-rock guitar, the singer delivers an emotional torch song. It is a tale of undying devotion to a lost love.
