Gianiluciano is the professional name of emerging independent singer/songwriter Giani Luciano. The musician made his professional solo recording debut in March of 2022 with the single “Money Saves Us.” That record launched a new phase of a musical journey that started in childhood from the Sicilian/Italian artist.
Coming from a musical family, Gianiluciano studied both piano and guitar as a child. He was following in the footsteps of his father, who was also a musician. The family moved around Europe, splitting time between Germany and Italy, where Giani lives today.
A month after his debut, Gianiluciano dropped his sophomore single “No Trust.” That track connected with tens of thousands of fans worldwide. The song further defined the singer’s smooth, soulful ambient pop/r&b vibe.
Ways to Anything is the debut solo album from Gianiluciano, released worldwide via all major streaming services on January 7, 2023. The ten-song collection dives deeply into the songwriter’s world of mysterious late night rendezvous and whispered seductions. The record opens on the slow jam chill and synthwave groove of Giani’s first two singles.
The heartbreak and infatuation continues with the chill trap of “When It’s Too Late” and the big synths and falsetto soul of “Fall In Love”. Gianiluciano keeps the mood mellow throughout, and the whole record floats on a big sad and sexy synth cloud. However, within that framework he explores multiple genres and styles.
“I Can’t Feel The Pain” ads a touch of trip-hop to the downtempo vibe. On each track, Giani pairs his 80’s analog synths with modern production techniques, hip-hop beats and EDM bass. “Luxury” is a real highpoint, incorporating all of the best elements of the album into a sexy and psychedelic trap dream. “The End Of Us” introduces a bit of lo-fi into the mix before the record closes on the haunting “Shadows”.
