Alex on the Roof is the professional name of independent singer, songwriter and producer, Alex Ortega. Born and raised in Mexico City, he began making music as a teenager. Although he would eventually enter a career in filmmaking, it was that creative process that ultimately brought him back to music.
He made his professional solo recording debut in 2021 with the single “Miradas”. That track introduced a talented and eclectic songwriter with a genre-fluid sound. Since then, the prolific producer has released a remarkable volume of work, including nearly two dozen singles and three EPs.

The track is the latest step in the artist’s evolution from an indie pop/rock sound to a more dance-oriented vibe. The singer drops his smooth tenor on an organic reggaeton beat.
