Pressure Cooker is a brand new cooking competition which debuted on Netflix, January 6, 2023. The show follows eleven chefs who cook and cohabitate with one another as they compete for $100,000. It is an intense and cutthroat competition that lives up to its title.
Chef Porter is the professional name of rapper, songwriter and self-described “culinary industrialist,” Ed Porter. As one of the chefs on the show’s debut season, he knows firsthand how tough the competition can be. Appearing on the show ultimately drove the Bronx native to memorialize the experience in song.
“Pressure Cooker” is the debut single from Chef Porter, released worldwide via all major streaming services on January 6, 2023. On the track, Porter and co-producer CharlesInCharge lay down a slow and funky organic bass, drums and guitar groove. On the mic, the Chef drops a smooth freestyle, recounting his experiences on the show and throwing shoutouts to all of his fellow contestants.
