Oracle – Something To Hate

Oracle is an independent heavy metal power trio who made their professional recording debut in 2016 with the album Beyond Omega. That record introduced a hard-hitting melodic death metal band from Mobile, Alabama. They specialize in epic death metal-infused rockers with gothic titles like “Tomb of Serpents” and “Infinite Black”.

Since their debut, the prolific band has released five full length albums, one EP and a handful of singles. They have connected with hundreds-of-thousands of metal fans around the world, thanks to popular tracks like “Greed” and “The Crow”.  The band was a four-piece until original drummer BG Watson left during the recording of their second album. The now streamlined trio consists of Jason Long  (vocals & guitar), Trey Ozinga (drums) and Ray Ozinga (bass).

“Something to Hate” is the latest single from Oracle, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A wall of guitars opens the track with a slow and low groove metal riff. Jason Long steps to the mic with a guttural growl. The rhythm section backs him up with a powerful bass and double-kick drum rumble. The song serves up a catchy, radio-ready hook in the chorus before the band drops the hammer with more death metal thunder.

"Something To Hate is about trying to release someone from your heart that never belonged there in the first place. Growing cold for the health and well-being of your own self. But what if you can't release what's already in your heart?"
