EYJEY is an emerging independent international DJ and producer with an eclectic and stylistically adventurous sound. Originally from Tunisia, he cut his teeth as a house music DJ in the red-hot club scene of Birmingham, United Kingdom. In 2017 he relocated to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and found an entirely new dynamic.
Before long, he was spinning discs at high-profile gigs alongside local heavyweight DJs like Saif & Sound and DJ Kaboo. His sound expanded to include elements of r&b, hip-hop and reggaeton. EYJEY made his professional solo recording debut in 2019. Since then the prolific producer has dropped a steady stream of originals and remixes on his SoundCloud page.
“Crew Love” is his latest release, available worldwide via SoundCloud. A remix of the smash Drake/Weeknd collaboration, in EYJEY’s hands the ethereal r&b jam takes on a chilled jazz-hop mood. The DJ gives this 2011 hit a chill new 2023 vibe. He leans in on the organic elements of the song. A lo-fi guitar rides a downtempo, latin-infused progressive house beat to set a relaxed and hypnotic groove.
