Outsider is an emerging independent hip-hop artist who made his professional solo recording debut in 2021 with the single “Declassified”. That track introduced a talented emcee from Sweetwater, Tennessee with a verbose lyrical flow and a taste for low and slow beats. Since his debut the prolific rapper has produced a remarkable volume of work.
In less than two years Outsider has dropped 17 singles, an EP and the full-length album Egomaniac. He has collaborated with a long list of other independent rappers and singers, and has connected with hip-hop fans around the world on tracks like “Szns”, “Misfit” and “Nothing More”. On his 22nd birthday, February 20, 2023, -Outsider- will drop his second full-length album.
“In Love With Music” is a new single from that forthcoming album. The song was released worldwide via all major streaming services on January 13, 2023. A live bass guitar opens the track, playing a mellow psychedelic rock riff over a downtempo trap beat. Ethereal synths and guitars paint the edges of the mix. On the mic, -Outsider- and guest rapper Rlyks trade verses on this a laid-back and trippy ode to music.
