Breezy Branches is the professional name of independent rapper, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer, Matthew Branch. The Gainesville, Florida native debuted his solo project in 2018 with the single “Lost in the Chase”. The track introduced a genre-bending artist with an experimental flair.
Since his debut, Breezy Branches has released a dozen tracks, each exploring new corners of the lo-fi hip-hop and indie-pop worlds. After graduating from Florida State University, Branch relocated to Austin, Texas and immersed himself in the city’s legendary music scene. In 2020 he moved to Fort Worth for medical school and once again introduced his unique vibe to a new musical community.
“Vibe Out & Chill” is the latest single from Breezy Branches, released worldwide via all major streaming services on December 9, 2022. The track rolls on a chilled downtempo boom-bap groove. Piano, guitar, strings and woodwinds spin on the periphery as Breezy steps to the mic with his slacker manifesto. The singer extols the virtues of nothingness in response to burnout. The lighthearted and relatable tune provides the perfect soundtrack to a lazy day on the couch.
