taliz is an emerging independent singer, songwriter and producer who made his solo professional recording debut in May, 2022 with the single “Imperfections”. That track introduced a multi-talented artist with a classic soul vibe and very modern indie-pop style. Although he only recently dropped his first commercial releases, the Houston, TX native has been making music since childhood.
As a child, taliz was inspired to sing, by the music of legends like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Frank Sinatra. In recent years the singer’s tastes have turned to modern r&b and neo-soul artists like Keshi, 88rising, NIKI and Joji. The singer also cites his family as a major inspiration for his music.
In June, taliz delivered a heartbreaker of a torch song. “Drift Away” is a dreamy but tragic jazz-hued serenade. An acoustic guitar plays with a touch bossa nova as the singer pines for his love in a smooth and melancholy tenor.
“pretty little flower” is the latest single from taliz, available worldwide via all major streaming services. On the track the singer lends his soulful tones to a beautiful little lo-fi indie-pop love song. The track features an ensemble of electric piano, bass, and acoustic guitar riding a mellow jazz-hop groove.
