Twstd is a new international artist collective, formed by a like minded group of independent musicians. They have joined forces to help each other produce original content and promote their work to a wider audience. The project is the brainchild of singer, songwriter and producer, Clozuris (aka Julian).
Clozuris made his solo professional debut in 2020 with the single “fade with the minerals”. That track introduced a talented singer/songwriter who specializes in melancholy acoustic Midwest emo. Since his debut, the prolific producer has released over three dozen tracks. He has connected with fans worldwide thanks to popular and deeply personal songs like “faceless”.
Julian was recently contacted by a group of artists who believe that there is strength in numbers. They combined their efforts, and Twstd was born. The indie cabal are launching their endeavor with a playlist of featured tracks from each artist/band.
The artists in Twstd comprise a multi-genre, emo-infused mix of modern indie music. From the catchy hyperpop vibes of vict1m, to Clozuris’ own heartbreaker emo folk, the collective pairs pop sensibilities with emotional themes that cut deep. On tracks like getHome’s emo trap “what’s coming for dinner”, they make music on the cutting edge of modern indie.
The core members of Twstd (Clozuris, getHome and vict1m) are joined on the playlist by a number of collaborators and featured musicians. Singer Love Jai adds a verse to getHome’s downbeat trap “sparks”. Vict1m teams up with artists like clayha and Lanky for infectiously catchy pop experiments “Like a drug to me” and “On and off”. The playlist closes with entries emo singer/songwriter abrasiv3 and UK band “Worth It”.
