Lea is the professional name of emerging independent singer, songwriter and recording artist Sólveig Lea Jóhannsdóttir. The 29 year-old musician made her solo professional recording debut in 2022 with the single “Letting Go”. That track introduced a passionate and talented vocalist from Iceland with a timeless sound.
On her debut, an ethereal soundscape and broad cinematic scenes set the scene for a classic pop mezzo-soprano. With the empowering song, the singer told a tale of overcoming hardships when everything seems hopeless. Now she is back with her sophomore single.
“Skylines” is the singer’s brand new single, released worldwide via all major streaming services on February 10, 2023. Ambient synths and piano introduce the track as the beat drops on percussive downtempo dark-pop vibe. On the mic, she delivers an emotional message of love and acceptance. As the song progresses it transforms into an uplifting electro-pop pop anthem.
