Nesia is an emerging independent hip-hop artist who first made a name for himself as a member of the popular group Cien x Cien Cierto. He made his solo professional recording debut in 2021 with the single “No me fío”. That track introduced a multi-talented singer, rapper, songwriter and producer with a sound that mixes elements of old-school West Coast (Tupac, Nate Dogg, NWA) and South Side (Three 6 Mafia) gangsta rap, with and modern dark trap (XXXTentacion, SucideBoys).
Originally from Malaga, Spain, Nesia spent time in the United States as a child. He now calls the Netherlands home. Since his debut he has released three singles and an EP. The rapper’s most recent release is already his most popular song.
“Screams” is the latest single from Nesia, released worldwide via all major streaming services on February 3, 2023. A lo-fi guitar opens the track, before the beat drops on a low and slow emo trap groove. On the mic, the rapper delivers a dark, rapid-fire melodic rap meditation on drug abuse and suicide, internal torment and past trauma.
