Avenue Army is an emerging independent band from San Diego, California. They’ve been rocking their hometown’s thriving indie scene since they dropped their debut album Words in Action nearly a decade ago. That record introduced the hard-hitting quartet of Max Bergstrom (vocals/guitar), Drew Smith (bass/vocals), Wil Lopez (guitar) and Queston Kwolek (drums).
Since their debut, the prolific rockers have produced eight singles and two EPs. They’ve connected with fans worldwide on popular tracks like “Company Killer” and “Bedroom Window”. Avenue Army is currently on a regional and national tour. In their tenure as a live act, the band has opened for high-profile groups like 3 Pill Morning, Eve to Adam, Saving Abel, Alien Ant Farm, Rivals, and The Ataris.
“Favorite Enemy” is the brand new single from Avenue Army, released worldwide via all major streaming services on January 20, 2023. With their signature wall of guitars and thunderous rhythm section, the band lays down a heavy, yet radio-friendly track. The song is built on equal parts metal, modern indie and 90s alternative, and features a funky 311/Linkin Park-style rap in the bridge. The song ends on as an anthemic power ballad.
