The Blue Colors’ New Grunge Psychedlia

The Blue Colors is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer Nicolas Pöhlmann. The 22 year-old German musician made his international professional recording debut in 2020 with the single “Drenched in Blood and Madness”. That track introduced a talented young recording artist with a taste for big beats and overdriven alt-rock guitars.

Since his debut, the prolific producer has released ten singles and the three-song EP “Living is Like Dying but Worse”. His sound is a mix of modern indie, 90s grunge and classic 60s garage rock. The multifaceted artist composes, performs and produces all his own sounds.

“Repeat” is the brand new single from The Blue Colors, released worldwide via all major streaming service on February 17, 2023. A grunge guitar opens the track. Nicolas steps to the mic as the beat drops on a percussive organic rock groove. With a sound that lands somewhere between 90’s shoegaze and Syd Barrett-style 60’s psychedelia, he delivers a stream-of-consciousness rock meditation on a girl lost in her own world.

"I always try to keep my sound as real to myself as possible. It‘s hard as a new artist these days."
