Liberty_C is the musical identity of multi-disciplinary creator, Katja Cruz. The multi-talented singer, songwriter, pianist and award-winning sculptor debuted the project in 2020 with the single “Baby, I Miss You”. That record introduced a genre-bending artist from Graz, Austria and her band of jazz-fueled virtuosos.
We have followed Katja’s current musical journey since she dropped her inspiring 2021 single “Time to Grow”. Since her debut, the prolific songwriter has released a dozen singles, as well as the empowering 2021 full-length album Free to Be Me. In September, Liberty_C collaborated with The Static Dive and Kilo House on a house remix of her single “Queen of my Life“.
“Beautiful Stranger” is the brand new single from Liberty_C, released worldwide via all major streaming services on January 27, 2023. The singer/pianist is backed by Ernesto Grieshofer (drums), Markus Adam (saxophone) and Andreas Sassi Krampl (bass) on this slow and smoky jazz ballad. On the mic, Katja delivers a poetic meditation on a chance meeting with the beautiful stranger of the song’s title.
