$mr. Face$ is the professional name of veteran hip-hop artist, David Nolan Laws. The rapper first made a name for himself in the 90’s. Back then he went by the name SKREWFACE and rubbed shoulders with folks like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. In that time he dropped three independent releases that are now considered underground classics.

A native of Pontiac, Michigan, Laws’ musical journey began when he penned his first rhymes at just 12 years-old. He debuted his new brand and in 2021 with the single “Just Vibn”. With that record he introduced a new, socially conscious vibe. The rapper says he draws inspiration from world events and his own personal life experience.

“Thru the Mudd” is the most recent single and video from $mr. Face$, released on his own record label Full Plate Entertainment and available worldwide via all major streaming services. Classic soul music opens the track before the beat drops on a downtempo trap groove. The emcee steps to the mic drops an introspective lyrical freestyle about the past, present and future realities of life in the hood.
